Besipae’s capability is a unique example of international and local experiences at the service of the communities. In fact besipa’e professionals are both Indonesian and Internationals with substantive experience in Indonesia who together, through the application of operational international standards and procedures, believes to enhance the quality of the services to be provided to the communities. Rural Development

Livelihoods, Market Access, Supply Chains and Partnerships.

Besipae aims to support farmers in NTT by improving the information delivered to communities, and improving systems to increase productivity. Developing these improved systems for more well organized service delivery to poor farmers will enable them access to more efficient supply chains, and will improve market access for the poor. 

This is achieved by facilitating greater interaction between market actors; knowledge sharing through the use of innovative technology, and strengthening business linkages between communities, and buyers. 


Women’s Leadership and Equality

Besipae aims to identify and implement innovative solutions for meeting poor women’s needs, focusing on women in leadership roles, and providing equal opportunities for women through improved education, knowledge exchange and capacity building of women in both government and civil society. The goal is to reduce poverty and improve opportunities for poor women in NTT. 

Knowledge Management

Innovative Communication and Information Sharing

Besipae aims to improve access and use of reliable information to poor communities to support more effective sharing of information and the transfer of knowledge to rural communities through the use of technology. This includes sharing knowledge/information between the different levels, including with/to village level government; individuals/community groups, through the development of new learning materials and innovative methods as required.

Health & Education 

Besiape targets existing Health & Education initiatives in NTT, supplementing core services by enhancing these activities to become more resource efficient and sustainable through the use of technology.  This focuses on the use of mobile technology and computers to streamline activities, avoid duplication, and improve the mechanisms of delivery. 


Besi Pa’e Capabilities extends to the Early Emergency and Emergency phases, including Conflict, Post-conflict as well as Natural Disaster wherever they are located within the NTT territory.
